DUBAI, 12th February, 2017 (WAM) -- His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, inspected the Museum of the Future, as part of the activities included in the fifth edition of the World Government Summit.
His Highness was accompanied during the museum tour by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs. The tour was organised by the Dubai Foundation and the World Government Summit.
Museum officials described to His Highness the innovative solutions created by farms to develop their food networks, in a bid to serve whole neighbourhoods, while catering to the nutritional needs of individuals.
His Highness also participated in the interactive section of the museum, where visitors get a glimpse of how cities will look in 2050.
The museum houses a section called "City Tools", which is an automatic, robotic system that displays the cities of tomorrow and can also demonstrate how to rebuild a city after a disaster, or over a short period. It relies on advanced robotic technologies to construct buildings and infrastructure, and create sustainable and flourishing environmental systems.
Sheikh Mohamed's tour also covered the 'Creative Government Innovations' exhibition, in which 12 participating countries showcased their innovations. His Highness was accompanied on his tour by Ahmed Juma Al Za'abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs, and Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, along with other officials.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed emphasised that the World Government Summit, which has been hosted by the UAE annually since 2013, has become an outstanding international event, reflecting the special status the country has assumed under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, both in the regional, and international levels.
The World Government Summit, which is held under the patronage of Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has opened its doors to all countries in the world, in a bid to encourage exchanges of experiences and ideas, noted H.H Sheikh Mohamed.
He further praised the role of the World Government Summit, as a leading and innovative international platform to review the development of governments around the world.
