BERLIN, 12th March, 2017 (WAM) -- Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council, FNC, and Mayor of Berlin Michael Muller have discussed ways to enhance cooperation in all fields, especially in the parliamentary domain.
They also reviewed coordination and consultations regarding various issues of mutual interest during a meeting in Berlin, which was also attended by Ali Abdullah Al-Ahmad, UAE Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Muller acknowledged the existence of strong relations between Germany and the UAE at economic, scientific and cultural levels. He also pointed out that the visit of Dr. Al Qubaisi would contribute to developing parliamentary ties in the best interests of the two friendly peoples.
He said that Berlin needs to benefit from the UAE's expertise in the field of youth empowerment. Mr. Muller accepted an invitation of the FNC Speaker to visit the UAE and FNC.
Dr. Al Qubaisi emphasised the UAE's keenness, in the light of the directives of the wise leadership, on developing cooperation and partnership ties with Germany. She also extended thanks for warm welcome and hospitality.
She noted that the UAE, since its establishment, is keen on enhancing strategic partnership with various countries across the globe. She added that as part of its strategy, FNC aims to enhance communication with parliaments and peoples around the world.
