Central Bank to issue commemorative coins on its 30th anniversary Abu Dhabi, Sept. 16, 2003 (WAM) --The UAE Central Bank will be issuing as of tomorrow commemorative gold and silver coins to mark the 30th anniversary of its foundation, the bank announced today. ''The face of the commemorative coins carry the portrait of President H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, while their back depicts the portray of H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai,'' a bank statement said. The bank said the coins are offered for sale at banks operating in the UAE, and added that the gold coin is to be sold on the basis of gold daily prices at the market, while the silver one is to be sold at its face value plus a symbolic issue charge of 60 Dirhams for both coins.
