DUBAI, 8th March, 2017 (WAM) -- Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, UAE Minister of Education, and Arvils Aseradens, Latvian Minister of Economics, met in Dubai recently to discuss ways of initiating close educational co-operation between the two countries.
Briefing the Latvian official about the UAE educational system, Al Hammadi stressed that his ministry was making efforts to benefit from outstanding global experience in education, as per the directives of the UAE leadership.
The leadership has given directives to boost all sectors and education in particular because it is closely related to the country's agenda and vision for moving to a knowledge-based economy based on education, he explained.
The Ministry of Education has explored many educational systems in other countries to formulate a modern national educational system that is in line with the country's ambitious plans to advance its global ranking and provide nationals with global high-quality skills, Al Hammadi said.
