AMMAN, 20th March, 2017 (WAM) -- King Abdullah II of Jordan has received Ahmed Abul-Gheit, the Arab League Secretary-General, and discussed topics and issues that will be tackled by the Arab Summit in Jordan.
During the meeting, King Abdullah highlighted the importance of coordinating and unifying stances of Arab states to address challenges besetting the Arab region.
According to the Petra News Agency, the King also stressed Jordan's keenness to support efforts designed to boost joint Arab action to serve issues of the Arab nation.
Mr. Abul-Gheit underlined the importance of the Arab summit which will kick off this week in the Dead Sea area, in light of the challenges facing some Arab states.
He said the Arab League appreciated Jordan's stances under the leadership of King Abdullah to promote joint Arab action and achieve security and stability in the region.
