ABU DHABI, 20th March, 2017 (WAM) -- The Ministry of Economy held various activities and initiatives promoting happiness and positivity as part of its International Day of Happiness celebration.
The events were designed to enhance communication among employees, ensure delivery of quality services, and support key social causes. One of the activities included a visit to a local orphanage to bring joy to the children.
Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, said that UAE leaders have always prioritized bringing happiness to citizens and building a positive community as advocated by the country’s founding fathers led by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the Rulers of the Emirates. The government has been working towards this end to make the UAE a global reference for happiness and positivity.
He added that the UAE leadership will continue to develop and bring to new levels the ongoing relevant efforts until happiness and positivity have become institutionalized and a way of life for all individuals. "The government is consolidating all nationwide initiatives, giving priority to UAE Nationals to ensure their productivity and contributions to the UAE’s developmental agenda and strategic objectives," he noted.
Al Mansouri went on to say that the UAE has been taking proactive and pioneering steps in this regard, including the establishment of the Ministry of Happiness.
