UAE leadership cares for people’s welfare, provides dignified living: Sheikha Fatima

ABU DHABI, 20th March, 2017 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, said that the people of the UAE are enjoying true happiness, thanks to the wise leadership that cares for their welfare and provides them with a dignified living.

In her statement on the occasion of International Day for Happiness, observed on 20th March each year, she added that Emirati woman should be proud of her happiness, which she has achieved over four and half decades after reaching her goals of empowerment in all forms, as they work in all fields and sectors in the country.

She added, "The measure of happiness for a human being is not only from what someone enjoyed in life in terms of welfare and success, but also from what someone offers to others and what someone feels about the happiness in their lives. And what someone sees in the blessings from those who spent part of their efforts, and work to make them happy and achieve their dreams."

Sheikha Fatima gave an example from the biography of late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who continued to strive to make his people happy and achieve their welfare by providing all the necessities of life.

"The wise leadership of the country, headed by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; and their brothers Supreme Council Members, Their Highnesses Rulers of Emirates, have followed the footsteps of the late Sheikh Zayed to ensure the security, welfare and happiness," she said.

In conclusion, Sheikha Fatima congratulated the Emirati woman and mothers for the achievement of happiness in their homes, families and community. She urged the Emirati women to utilise the opportunities available to achieve the highest levels of success for themselves and community.
