Dubai Land Department main sponsor of AACE International Conference 2017 in Dubai

DUBAI, 17th April, 2017 (WAM) -- Dubai Land Department has announced that it will sponsor the AACE International Conference 2017, which will be hosted by Dubai on 1stt and 2nd May.

The AACE International Conference 2017 will be hosted under the theme, "Protecting Capital investment through project cost control and risk management," featuring about 40 expert speakers who will share their knowledge on international best practices.

The exhibition staged alongside the conference will demonstrate the best technologies in cost control, risk management, consultancy and contracting. Awards will also be presented for best practice at both individual and organisational levels.

Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director-General of Dubai Land Department, is proud of the department’s role as the main sponsor of the AACE International Conference 2017 in Dubai, which enhances Dubai's status as an international host and organiser of prestigious events across various industries. Dubai has consistently demonstrated its success in this area, and Dubai Land Department’s partnership with AACEI UAE reflects this.

"The conference allows us to share our expertise in managing project risks and costs within the engineering sector, to ensure the protection of real estate investment and development in Dubai," the director-general commented.

Maged Hanna, Managing Director of the High Steering Committee of the conference, added, "The importance of this event is that over the course of two days it will discuss essential topics including construction, engineering, lands, properties, portfolio and infrastructure projects, cost control and risk management, and their influence on city economics and national investments. SME and financial institutions, insurance companies, and dealing with cost control and stocks and risk identifications will also be discussed."

Speakers at the conference will discuss the results of investment returns studies in the engineering sector, and the construction sector and its impact on the urban economy. The public-private partnership in infrastructure projects and their impact on investment will also be discussed, as well as managing the portfolio of mega-projects, achieving strategic objectives, small and medium enterprises, investment protection and institutional risk management in various aspects. Studies on financial assets and project budgets, cost control and risk management, project budget management and the highest return on investment will also be presented.
