ABU DHABI, 25th April, 2017 (WAM) -- His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, praised the citizens of the UAE for supporting charitable and humanitarian projects and contributing to the community.
The citizens of the UAE have proved their loyalty in performing national duties, their sense of responsibility in supporting their leadership and contributing to initiatives that enhance the position of the UAE and its leadership in the field of charity and assistance, he noted.
He observed that more businessmen and investors were responding to support national projects, whether in the national fund, Sandooq Al Watan or other charity and national initiatives, stressing that they were all partners in reinforcing the UAE's good reputation in all areas.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed said that the contribution towards national projects could be in various forms, and hailed the keenness of the businessmen to contribute to the national fund and support vital projects that serve the country, the citizens, and the UAE charity and humanitarian work within the country, as well as abroad.
He praised the initiative of Nael & Bin Harmal group to donate for Somalia.
"I would like to read to you a note that makes me proud of the UAE citizens who are doing good things for their country, government and the people," he declared in his speech at Majlis Al Bateen Palace.
He read a letter addressed to His Highness from Nael & Bin Harmal group that stated, "Nael & Bin Harmal group would like to support the UAE charity work in Africa. We learnt that you are going to provide assistance in Somalia and Africa. We assure Your Highness that we are ready at any time to donate for these projects. We would like to make it clear to Your Highness that we are ready for a project of any kind. This is our duty, and we are willing to do more for the nation."
"What I want to say to our sons and sons of Zayed is that we are thankful to you, may God increase people like you," His Highness added.
