Dubai Islamic Bank gives AED10 mln of Zakat money to Ras al-Khaimah charity

DUBAI, 6th June, 2017 (WAM) -- Dubai Islamic Bank, DIB, on Tuesday said it has donated AED10 million of Zakat money (the compulsory giving of a set proportion of one's wealth to charity) to the Ras al-Khaimah Charity Foundation.

Secretary-General of the Foundation Mohammed Jakkah Al Mansouri received the cheque from Head of Social Services at DIB Abdul Razzaq Al Abdullah.

Al Abdullah said the lender is keen on distributing all the Zakat money to licenced charities to help the less fortunate people, in particular during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
