ABU DHABI, 21st June, 2017 (WAM) -- Following the success of the previous three phases, the Zayed Giving Convoys launched their fourth phase to provide diagnostic, preventive and therapeutic services for early detection of chronic diseases within the UAE.
The gesture, which is in line with the ‘Year of Giving’ initiative launched by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is a collaborative partnership between the Zayed Giving Initiative, Dar Al Ber Association, the Saudi-German Hospital, and Emirates Medicine Bank.
Dr. Adel Al Shameri, CEO of the Zayed Giving Initiative, said thousands of disadvantaged Emirati and expatriate patients received treatment and medicines in the previous phases.
"Our mobile clinics will travel from Abu Dhabi to the emirates of Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Qaiwain, Fujairah and Ras al-Khaimah to provide free-of-charge medical services to the targeted groups," he said.
He indicated that the humanitarian and voluntary mission is being led by a dedicated elite of young Emirati caregivers.
