Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police confers new ranks on promoted officers

SHARJAH, 17th July, 2017 (WAM) -- Brigadier General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of the Sharjah Police, on Monday, conferred the new ranks on officers who were promoted by H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah by an Emiri Decree.

In his speech at the honouring ceremony, Brig. General Al-Shamsi thanked the Ruler of Sharjah for his unlimited support to the Sharjah Police. He asserted that the staff would redouble efforts to ensure development and prosperity in the UAE in general and the emirate of Sharjah in particular.

He also congratulated the promoted officers and urged them to continue their hard work, hone their skills through training, and seek knowledge of the latest developments in their respective fields of work to enhance the developmental efforts of police work according to the standards of leadership, quality and excellence.

He pointed out that the promotion represents a turning point for excellence, a greater challenge to carry out responsibility, and a motivation for further achievement. The aim is to strengthen the security and stability of the country, preserve its national gains and promote the police work system to the best levels to reflect the strategy of the Ministry of the Interior.

The promoted officers expressed their pride in their new ranks, adding that they are a great incentive for them in the performance of their police duties.

The honouring ceremony was attended by Brigadier General Mohammad Rashid Bayat, Director-General of Police Operations; Brigadier General Ali Salem Al Khayyal, Director-General of Central Operations; Brigadier Aref Al Sharif, Director-General of the Human Resources and Support Services Department, and Colonel Dr. Mohammed Khamis Al-Othmani, Director-General of the Sharjah Police Academy, along with several department heads and police officers.
