Kuwait condemns Israeli actions in Al-Aqsa Mosque

KUWAIT, 21st July, 2017 (WAM) -- Kuwait, on Friday, strongly condemned the Israeli actions against Palestinian worshippers in Jerusalem while calling on Israel to completely open the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In a statement, an official source at the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry called for the removal of all obstacles preventing Palestinians from performing their prayers and practicing their rights, and for the Israeli authorities to respect relevant international charters, as well as to stop provoking Muslims around the world.
The official source urged the international community to apply pressure on Israel, to abide by international agreements, mainly the Geneva Conventions, and to immediately stop their violations that would only bring more violence and instability in the region.
Israel recently closed the Holy Mosque to Muslim worshippers, in the aftermath of clashes that erupted between three Palestinians and two Israelis, which killed all of them.
