ALMUKHA, 29th July, 2017 (WAM) -- The Command of the Coalition for the Support of Legitimacy in Yemen on Saturday announced that the port of Al-Mukha was targeted by the Houthi militias through a booby-trapped boat full of explosives.
‘Al-Houthi militias targeted the port of Al-Mukha in the dawn of this day with a boat loaded with explosives, but it collided with a naval pier near a group of ships, causing an explosion,’ according to the statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency, SPA.
There were no casualties and a careful follow-up of the incident to track the perpetrators is under way.
The command stressed that Houthi militias and the ousted forces of Saleh continue to violate all international norms and resolutions by targeting the security of the Yemeni ports. They pose a threat to international navigation as well as regional and global security. These criminal practices impede the arrival of relief and humanitarian assistance for the treatment of cholera in the Yemeni territory, they added.
The statement concluded by calling the coalition to support the legitimacy in Yemen and the international community to keep pressuring the Houthi militias and the forces loyal to ousted Saleh to implement the UN Security Council Resolution 2216, to prevent these criminal practices.
