ABU DHABI, 7th October 2017 (WAM) - Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Council (SMC), stressed the keenness of the Sharjah Contact Centre (SCC) in continuous development according to the highest standards of quality, to achieve its objectives and to enhance effective communication between different agencies ,government departments and to facilitate the work of citizens, residents and visitors.
This came during the annual ceremony held by the SCC of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) under the theme "The Goodness is in our Communication", in the presence of Tariq Saeed Ally, Director of SGMB and Engineer Khalid Omar Al Naqbi, Director of SCC.
Shaikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Center's employees and praised their outstanding role in serving the Emirate of Sharjah and pushing forward its development, service and tourism programmes.
The SCC aims to unify contact points, highlight the unified government identity, establish a modern electronic database, and provide employment and investment opportunities for national talent and cadres in the region.
Khalid Al Naqbi said, the ceremony of this year comes under the theme "The Goodness is in our Communication, "which reflects the spirit of giving to the community and what we can do to promote the advancement to proceed to the progress.
He added "Our ceremony was held in the year of giving which announced by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to strengthen the pioneering role of UAE in the field of charitable and humanitarian work, and to reach all needy people around the world.
He said, "In line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Centre will continue to contribute to the development of the UAE and to the well-being of its citizens in various fields. We also take into consideration the happiness of our employees of citizens and residents in various ways.
The SCC has information on more than 100 government entities in various regions of Sharjah and its branches, and provides its services through (800 800 00) free number to achieve the quality of services provided to customers and the rapid response to their communications and observations through a qualified team of national cadres specialised in the field of Customer Service.
The SCC provides information for all services, events and tourist sites provided to more than 100 bodies ,departments and government administrations and respond to customer inquiries from (8 am to 8 pm) using a modern technical system that provides value to the services available to customers in various communication methods including: free phone, In addition to SMS messages.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed, Tariq Allay and Khalid Al Naqbi honoured the Centre's Staff, including the drivers, for their efforts over the past years. In the ceremony, a documentary film displayed showing the Centre's achievements.
