RIAYDH, 7th October, 2017 (WAM) -- - Two Saudi security men were martyred on Saturday when an outpost of the Royal Guard, located in front of the western gate of the Peace Palace in Jeddah, came under fire by a person, who got out of a Hyundai car, the security spokesman of the Ministry of the Interior said.
''The attacker was immediately dealt with by the Royal Guard men as required by the situation, resulting in his death in the same place, and this cowardly act also resulted in the injury of other three soldiers, who are currently receiving treatment, he stated, according to Saudi Press Agency, SPA.
According to the Interior Ministry's security spokesman, it was found from the proceedings of verification of the identity of that person that his name was Mansur bin Hassan bin Ali al-Fahid al-Amiri, a 28-year-old Saudi national, and carried a Kalashnikov machine gun and three Molotov fire grenades. The security authorities are still carrying out their investigations.
