ABU DHABI, 5th December, 2017 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received Raul Pinto, Brazil's Minister of Defence, in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, where they discussed ways of bolstering cooperation, especially in the security and military sectors.
The two parties exchanged views on the latest regional and global issues of mutual concern, including international counter-terrorism efforts.
Sheikh Abdullah welcomed the visit of the Brazilian minister, emphasising the UAE's keenness on furthering its ties with the South American country.
Minister Pinto termed UAE-Brazil's ties as ''distinguished'', expressing his country's desire to strengthen cooperation with the UAE in various domains further.
He also praised the prominent place enjoyed by the UAE, both regionally and globally, and its vital role in efforts aimed at combating terrorism and maintaining peace and stability in the region.
