DUBAI, 25th December, 2017 (WAM) -- Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Roads and Transport Authority, RTA, has met with Akima Umezawa, Consul-General of Japan in Dubai, where they discussed enhancing cooperation and exchange of experiences between the authority and its counterpart in Japan, as well as cooperation with Japanese companies involved in the railway industry and the implementation of road projects.
During the meeting, Al Tayer briefed the Japanese consul on the road projects and transport systems that the authority intends to implement until 2020, emphasising that future projects are a good opportunity for companies to enter tenders offered by RTA.
Umezawa expressed his admiration for the large projects carried out by RTA for developing roads and transport infrastructure. He expressed his hope to strengthen partnership and cooperation relations between the authority and the Japanese companies specialised in the field of roads and transport.
