Abu Dhabi Awards to announce 2018 recipients on March 12th

ABU DHABI, 8th March, 2018 (WAM) -- The Abu Dhabi Awards 2018 ceremony will be broadcast on 12th March on Emarat TV. Recipients, together with their families, will be joined at the ceremony by senior representatives from government bodies and the local community from across Abu Dhabi.

As the Emirate’s highest civilian honour, the Awards celebrates compassionate individuals who have selflessly given their time to contribute to the community of Abu Dhabi. It also seeks to encourage the continued development, growth and prosperity of the nation by inspiring selfless generosity, kindness, goodness and humanitarian philanthropy – working in line to preserve the unprecedented legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

This year’s Abu Dhabi Awards campaign garnered the support of the citizens and residents of Abu Dhabi.

Nominations were open to any age or nationality, and could be drawn from across the community and internationally, with the good deeds and community philanthropy contributing to the positive development to the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Since inception, the Abu Dhabi Awards have recognised 71 unsung heroes, representing 135 nationalities.
