AMMAN, 13th March, 2018 (WAM) -- The Emirates Centre for Human Rights Studies and the Amman Centre for Human Rights Studies have signed a co-operation agreement to ensure more cooperation in promotion of the human rights culture across the region.
Both sides agreed to strengthen partnership and develop a collaborative framework for the coming period.
The agreement was signed by Tarek Saeed Al Shamsi, Director of the Emirates Centre for Human Rights Studies, and Dr. Nizam Assaf, Director of the Amman Centre for Human Rights Studies.
The signing of the agreement was attended by Mohammed Al Tarawneh, Vice President of the Jordanian Court of Cassation, and Abu Bakr Karamsteji, Representative of the Emirates Centre for Human Rights Studies.
Al Shamsi stated that the agreement aims to promote joint work and create a working mechanism to spread the culture of human rights and increase awareness in the region, without any political, regional, geographic or sectarian influences.
Dr. Assaf expressed his happiness at signing the agreement, which is part of the efforts between the two centres to promote joint work, strengthen and respect the culture of human rights, and enforce it in Arab countries.
