DUBAI, 1th May, 2018 (WAM) -- The General Authority for Sports, GAS, and the UAE University, UAEU, signed today a MoU for boosting cooperation between them and establishing strategic partnership for developing the Emirati human resources.
Ibrahim Abdul Malek , GAS Secretary General, and Professor Mohamed Albaili, Vice Chancellor of the UAEU, signed the agreement with a large number of officials from both sides in presence.
As per the MoU, the two sides will conduct studies in general polices of sports and exchange sports-related information, newsletters, scientific periodicals, researches and studies.
They will also exchange consultancies in topics to be agreed upon and work together in organising specilised conferences and workshops to tackle the latest developments in areas of mutual interest.
Abdul Malek highlighted the importance of the MoU in fostering cooperation between the two bodies, "In line with the futuristic, innovative and science-based directives of our leadership."
Albaili said that the UAEU is keen on cementing ties with all the government and community entities through providing them with scientific researches and studies and honing the skills of their personnel as per the National Agenda and UAE Vision 2021.
"As a leading national higher education provider, the UAEU is very committed to supporting scientific researches, investing in the Emirati young people and promoting sports as a tool for sustainable development," he added.
