NBF receives accolades at the Human Capital Forum MENA 2018

FUJAIRAH, 8th May, 2018 (WAM) -- The National Bank of Fujairah, NBF, on Tuesday announced that it has received the "HR Team of the Year" accolade at the Human Capital Forum MENA 2018 for the third consecutive year.

The bank was also awarded the third place in the "Best Employer" category. These coveted awards recognise the efforts of the bank’s human resources team in creating a positive and stimulating work environment for employees and the bank’s progress towards becoming an "employer of choice."

Organised by Naseba, the Human Capital Forum MENA invites 150 Chief HR Officers, CEOs and senior talent practitioners to benchmark their practices, exchange knowledge and build relationships.

Commenting on the win, Vince Cook, CEO of NBF, said, "Our human resources strategy focusses on enhancing the NBF’s position as one of the leading employer brands in the UAE and beyond. Our approach concentrates on fostering a working environment where employees can develop their skills and thrive in a supportive culture. Our HR team has put in place a number of HR programmes and services to build a talented, engaged and productive workforce, which allows us to maintain high levels of employee satisfaction as well as recruit and retain the best talent in the market to cater to our customers."

Abdulla Aleter, Head of HR at the NBF, added, "We are thrilled to have received these awards. All credit goes to the NBF leadership team, managers and employees for their combined commitment to our goal of creating the best working environment. The recognition we continue to receive from such prestigious industry award platforms is a testament to our commitment to delivering HR excellence. We are looking forward to continuing this throughout 2018 further cementing the NBF’s position as the employer of choice for banking professionals."

Reflective of the NBF’s long-term commitment to developing a high-performing and the fully engaged team is the fact that more than half (53 percent) of employees have been with the bank for over five years. With the lowest staff turnover in the industry, only 3.6 percent last year, NBF focusses on empowering employees and providing a working environment in which they can grow both personally and professionally.

The win builds on the NBF’s strong track record in this space. Just this year, the bank received multiple accolades at The Gulf Employee Experience Awards including, the "Nationalisation Award," "HR Team of the Year Award," and "Overall Gulf Employee Experience Award." Last year, the HR team was also singled out on multiple occasions scooping several accolades including, the "2017 MENA HR Excellence Awards," "Gulf Employee Experience Awards 2017," "Korn Ferry Employee Engagement Awards 2017" and "Daman Award for Corporate Health and Wellness Initiative 2017," among many others.
