CHENNAI, 29th June, 2018 (WAM) -- As part of his official visit to India, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and his delegation today met with Edappadi K. Palaniswami, Chief Minister of the Indian State of Tamil Nadu.

The meeting discussed the friendship and cooperation ties in the areas of politics, the economy, society and culture between the UAE and Tamil Nadu.

Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the UAE's keenness to enhance its bilateral relations and cooperation with India.

Palaniswami welcomed Sheikh Abdullah and expressed his country's desire to further strengthen its ties with the UAE.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Banna, UAE Ambassador to India.
