EPAA concludes events of "Together for A Beautiful Summer" programme

SHARJAH, 12th July, 2018 (WAM) -- The Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA) has announced that it concluded the events of the third session of "Together for a Beautiful Summer" programme. The programme, which was launched on 1st July, ended yesterday and targeted male students aged 10-15 years.

Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, EPAA Chairperson, said, "The programme has received great attention and care from EPAA in order to provide students with new skills and to fill their summer vacation with activities that benefit them as well as society in general. Our summer programmes qualify students, scientifically and behaviourally, and helping them to discover their own unique talents. This year, EPAA focused on the discovery of scientific researchers through distinguished activities and field visits, in addition to 12 educational and recreational trips."

Al Suwaidi added, "We are glad that the third session of the programme was successful, as it represents one of our strategic objectives, emanating from the vision and guidance of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in the various fields of the environment, and its protection and conservation, and educating the generations about it."

The third session of the programme has witnessed an increasing turnout in participation, surpassing the previous two sessions, which is evidence that the programme is successful in increasing environmental awareness among members of society and on educating them of the importance of protecting both the natural environment and all endangered wildlife.

During the programme, students carried out activities and events carefully prepared by EPAA designed to suit and develop their abilities and talents. Activities aimed to provide them with hands-on experience related to preserving the environment. enhance their self-esteem, and encourage positive social relationships with their peers.
