DUBAI, 22nd September, 2018 (WAM) -- The recent United Nations, UN, report on human rights in Yemen has ignored the reality of human rights situation there under the Houthi coup and missed the terrorist acts committed by the rebels in Sana'a, mediapersons told a seminar held by the Emirates Human Rights Association in Dubai.
Titled: ''Yemen: Events and Facts'', the seminar was attended by Mohammed Salem Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Emirates Human Rights Association, mediaperson Ahmed Al Yamahi, and Yemeni writer Ali Al Zikri.
Al Kaabi said the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights' report carried a series of allegations and fabrications about the Arab Coalition in Yemen, ignored the crimes committed by the Houthis and the destructive role played by Qatar and its backers in Yemen to destabilise the country's security and stability.
Al Yamahi spoke about the UAE's humanitarian and relief role along with its significant efforts to clear and remove life-threatening mines in Yemen.
Yemeni writer Zikri dwelt on the severity of manipulating facts and incidents in international reports citing the school bus incident so as to hamper liberation of Yemeni lands from the Houthi militia.
''The recent UN report has shamefully favoured the Houthi rebels,'' he added.
