HADRAMAUT, 4th October, 2018 (WAM) -- The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, today delivered different types of medicines and medical supplies to 'Restoring Hope Hospital' in Rumah District of Hadramaut, as part of its plan to improve healthcare services provided by hospitals and medical centres across Yemen.
The ERC said in a statement that the latest medical assistance is part of its efforts to ease suffering of the Yemeni people by providing free healthcare services.
''The ERC is scaling up its humanitarian operations in liberated governorates by providing a package of humanitarian, food and therapeutic assistance to help the Yemeni people cope with the deteriorating humanitarian and economic conditions,'' the statement added.
Ahmed Ali Awad, Director of the hospital, thanked the UAE and its humanitarian arm, the ERC, for providing the medical shipment, which he said was delivered in a time of desperate need for such supplies.
''The assistance will cover the hospital needs for medicines,'' he added.
