by Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Executive Director of the Emirates News Agency, WAM ABU DHABI, 9th October, 2018 (WAM) -- The UAE is keen to promote the role of the youth in all areas of life, through the work of youth councils, the Youth Federal Institution and the Youth Government, as well as the launch of the UAE Youth Global Initiative and the UAE Youth Ambassadors Programme, established as part of an institutional framework to involve this key segment of the community and make them the soft power ambassadors of a country that still has a lot to give to the world.

At the end of the second edition of the Mohamed bin Zayed Majlis for Future Generations, which was held under the slogan, 'The Leaders Of Today Meet The Leaders Of Tomorrow', with the participation of around 3,000 university students, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, reiterated the importance of the role of the youth and involving them in the country’s development.

The partnership is being led by the "sons of Zayed" with confidence, as a true gamble on their development, supported by hard work, competitiveness and knowledge, which will ensure that the UAE can send a positive message daily to the world.

The Majlis and other related initiatives aim to strengthen the leadership of the youth in shaping the future of the UAE. The initiative, which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, and the UAE Youth Global Initiative also aim to promote the international role of the youth and the country’s culture and knowledge, which were established on the foundations of co-existence, tolerance and development.

The initiative is unique, as it is the first of its kind internationally, due to the wisdom of the leadership’s vision and its true will, as well as the innovation used to enable the youth to create the future and lead it.

Local and international discussions have emphasised the role of the youth, stressed that the youth are the cornerstone of development, and are taking their responsibilities for the nation and its future.
