ABU DHABI, 27th October, 2022 (WAM) – Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, yesterday attended the reception hosted by Etienne Berchtold, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the UAE, on the occasion of his country's National Day.

The ceremony, which was held at the Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, was attended by members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps accredited to the state, businessmen and members of the Austrian community in the country.

In his speech on this occasion, the Austrian ambassador praised the strong bilateral relations between Austria and the UAE, expressing his pleasure with the growth of their relations across various domains for the benefit of both countries' leadership and people.

He stressed that the UAE is an essential partner for his country, and the indicators reflect the remarkable development in the economic relations between the two countries, as the UAE ranks first in the list of Austria's most important trading partners in the Middle East and the GCC region.

Berchtold emphasised his country's keenness to expand cooperation with the UAE in all sectors, including investment, economics, renewable energy, education, advanced technology and others.
