India reports 8,954 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

NEW DELHI, 1st December, 2021 (WAM) -- India reported 8,954 new COVID-19 cases and 267 deaths in the past 24 hours, Asian News International (ANI) quoted the Union Health Ministry as saying on Wednesday. The total death toll stands at 469,247, the ministry said. A total of 10,207 people recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours, taking the recovery tally in the country to 34,028,506.

Kuwait reports 21 new COVID-19 cases

KUWAIT, 29th November, 2021 (WAM) -- Kuwait has announced 21 new COVID-19 cases with no new deaths reported in the past 24 hours. The state news agency KUNA quoted the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health as saying that the new figures took the total cases to 413,266, and death toll remains unchanged at 2,465. The ministry added that 29 patients have recovered from the virus over the past day, raising the total recoveries to 410,575.

Worldwide coronavirus cases cross 262.21 million

ABU DHABI, 1st December, 2021 (WAM/Reuters) -- More than 262.21 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 5,468,697 have died, according to a Reuters tally on Wednesday. Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in December 2019.
