HADRAMAUT, Yemen, 24th November, 2017 (WAM) -- The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, on Friday provided food aid to students of Shabwa Governorate studying at the University of Hadramaut.
The gesture was part of the strategic support provided by the UAE to various sectors and service sectors, especially in the educational sector.
Mohammed Al Muhairi, the ERC Director in Shabwa, said that the aid will help the students, who are facing dire economic conditions, enabling them to complete their university study.
He also emphasised the ERC's desire to continue the implementation of such humanitarian projects and delivery of food aid to all the underprivileged in Shabwa.
The Supervisor of Student Hostels at the university praised the role played by ERC to improve living conditions of the students through providing humanitarian assistance to all segments of the Yemeni people.
Beneficiaries extended their thanks and appreciation to the UAE's government and people for the continuous support for Shabwa Governorate.
