DUBAI, 15th September, 2022 (WAM) -- Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre’s Board of Directors meeting, chaired by Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, discussed the latest updates of the Centre’s various current and future programmes as part of its strategic plan 2021-2031.

The meeting discussed preparations for The Emirates Lunar Mission, the first mission to the Moon from the United Arab Emirates. Updates regarding the UAE's plan to launch the region’s biggest and most powerful satellite, MBZ-Sat, on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket in 2023 were also discussed.

In attendance were Yousuf Hamad Al Shaibani, Deputy Chairman, Salem Humaid Al Marri, Director General, and the board members.
