ABU DHABI, 7th October, 2022 (WAM) – Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice, on Thursday attended the reception hosted by Maria Camilleri Calleja, Ambassador of Malta to the UAE, on the occasion of her country's National Day.
The ceremony, which was held at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Abu Dhabi, was also attended by Ian Borg, Maltese Minister for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade, senior officials, heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to the country, a number of businessmen and members of the Maltese community residing in the country.
In a speech on this occasion, Ambassador Calleja praised the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the strong UAE-Malta relations, adding that her country was keen to strengthen areas of cooperation in various fields.
She also lauded the UAE's tremendous achievements across various fronts, affirming Malta's eagerness to develop mutual relations to serve the interests of the two friendly countries.
The Ambassador praised the efforts of the UAE globally in promoting the values of peace, tolerance and coexistence, which reflect the country's well-established principles of human solidarity and spreading goodness worldwide to achieve global peace and prosperity.
