Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports emphasises strong ties between Egypt, UAE

CAIRO, 13th October, 2022 (WAM) -- Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhi has emphasised the strong and deep ties between Egypt and the UAE, reflecting the significance of cooperation in the youth and sports sector and creating new investment opportunities between the two countries.

The remarks were made today when the minister received Mariam Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative of the UAE to the Arab League, to discuss enhancing cooperation at the youth and sports levels.

The meeting discussed the three-day celebration for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Egypt and the UAE.

The event will review the journey of partnership and achievements during the past 50 years in all sectors.

The meeting also tackled the Zayed Charity Marathon, scheduled for next December, for its positive impact on sports, humanitarian and societal avenues.

Dr. Sobhi said that the celebration highlights the strong ties and special relations between Egypt and the UAE.

He also referred to the understanding and consensus in the vision of the two countries’ leaders.

He expressed hope that the celebration would be held at a high level that reflects the depth of the two countries' relations.

Ambassador Al Kaabi thanked Dr. Sobhi and stressed the solid UAE-Emirati ties at all levels, which highlight the harmony between the two countries.
