UAEJJF partners with PureHealth to empower jiu-jitsu talents


ABU DHABI,17th November, 2022 (WAM) -- The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation and PureHealth, an integrated healthcare platform, have signed a strategic partnership agreement to support and promote sporting talent in the country.

As per the agreement, both parties would work together to ensure that the athletes who compete in the Federation's championships receive top-quality medical assistance.

Fahad Ali Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the UAE and Asian Jiu-Jitsu Federations, and Shaista Asif, Group Chief Operating Officer of PureHealth, signed the agreement.

Abdul Moneim Al Hashemi, Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, President of the Ju-Jitsu Asian Union, and Senior Vice President of the Jiu-Jitsu International Federation; and Farhan Malik, Chief Executive Officer of PureHealth, were present at the ceremony held on the sidelines of the 14th edition of the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship, underway at Jiu-Jitsu Arena in Zayed Sports City, until 19th November 2022.

Commenting on the agreement, Al Shamsi praised the role of the UAEJJF's sponsors and strategic partners for their great supportive roles in promoting jiu-jitsu and the athletes.

"The partnership with PureHealth underlines both sides' mutual trust. The Federation's partners play a significant role in shaping new champions and maintaining the country's achievements in sports," he said.

Asif, in turn, said, "Inspired by the vision of the wise leadership of the UAE to support sports and budding sporting talent in the UAE, PureHealth is privileged to partner with the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation. This agreement is aligned with PureHealth's vision to promote longevity in the UAE by encouraging a healthier, active lifestyle through the support of sporting activities. Through this partnership, we aim to improve wellness by way of sporting endeavours and supporting the Federation to excel at local, regional, and international levels."

The "Making of Champions" programme is a key component of the UAEJJF's partnership with PureHealth, which aims to empower distinguished talents to pursue their professional career in Jiu-Jitsu. This pioneering initiative's main goals are to maintain the nation's excellence and achieve successive victories through strategic alliances with significant local enterprises. It will inspire athletes to continuously improve their skills, creating a generation of morally sound athletes who can contribute to the nation's achievements.
